Understand your role as Care Provider in maintaining and upholding clients' Personal Rights. Know your responsibilities as a Mandated Reporter of Dependent Adult abuse. Learn about Conservatorships, Guardianships, etc. and develop a working relationship with Conservators and Clients' Rights Advocates.

| Crisis Prevention and Intervention |

Build confidence in crisis situations by making better decisions and judgments. Understand clients' rights. Develop an approach to replace aggressive behaviors with safe behaviors. Identify early warming signs of an assault. Utilize crisis communication to de-escalate crisis situations. Effectively evade assaultive behaviors. A MUST for all programs!

Understand the nature and diagnosis of chronic mental health diagnoses: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, etc. Learn about behavior management regarding problematic behaviors associated with diagnoses. Become familiar with current treatment modalities available. Learn about existing community resources.

($55/person CPR+First Aid)

American Red Cross-approved Class! Fee includes American Red Cross Certificate. This course teaches participants how to recognize and care for victims of injury or sudden illness, plus how to deal with cuts, bruises, bone/muscle injuries, shock, bleeding and other first aid emergencies. Prepares students to respond to breathing & cardiac emergencies in adults.
